Newsletter No.5

Hey everyone!

It’s been a hot minute since the last time I posted an update. With the amount of work I had on my plate editing book 4, getting book 3 prepped for publication, trying to maintain my social media platforms, and dealing with the chaos of life in general, I reached a conclusion about my limits. Rather than make these posts on some sort of monthly or bi-monthly schedule, I’m only going to update when I have news. I see this newsletter as more of a catch-all from social media, here’s-what-you-might’ve-missed place. Just to make sure everyone stays in the loop.

So, here’s the loop…

Updates:

  • Book One, The Talismans of Teregrin, is available on Amazon and KU, and it can be ordered to local stores and libraries.

  • Book Two, The Firebreather’s Curse, is also available on Amazon and KU as well as for ordering to local stores and libraries.

  • Book Three, The Menace of the Morphers, has a publishing date of March 29th! The ebook is available for preorder on Amazon at a sale price of 99 cents! ARC links are expected to go out this Friday, so look out for early reviews. The book can also be added to your Want to Reads on Goodreads.

  • Book Four, The Door of Hope or Peril, made it through its first pass of deep revisions and is currently with my best beta reader.

  • Book Five, The Trials of Agemo, should begin its first pass of deep revisions this month, depending on when book 4 finishes beta. And that will be a wrap for this series.

News:

Book 3: The Menace of the Morphers will be published on March 29th! We finished its final rounds of proofreading yesterday, and it’s currently being formatted and prepped for ARC. This time, early readers will receive the link three weeks in advance of the release date. The book is available for preorder on Amazon for a special sale price of 99 cents (ebook), and print and KU will be available on the 29th. It’s also listed on Goodreads, so please go add it to your list!

Sales/Giveaways: To hype the release of book 3, in addition to the preorder sale, we’re also going to run a Kindle Promo on The Talismans of Teregrin and The Firebreather’s Curse. On March 8th-9th, both ebooks will be on sale for 99 cents. On March 10th, the price will go up to $1.99. And on March 15th, the sale will end, and both books will return to their normal $2.99.

But there’s more! During this sale, we’re also offering a buy-one-get-one giveaway opportunity. If you buy one of the books on sale, you can enter my social media giveaway to win the other ebook for free. All you have to do is comment on my post (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Threads) with which book you want to win, tag a friend, and submit proof of purchase.

You can get additional entries by providing proof that you’ve added books to your Goodreads and/preordered book 3.

Want a chance to win both books for free? Comment “both,” tag a friend, and submit proof that you’ve signed up for the Future House Publishing newsletter.

For every 10 people who enter the giveaway, we’ll give away another pair of ebooks!

Website Quiz: I’ve been promising a “Which Gifting Would You Have?” quiz for a while now, and I’m pleased to announce it’s almost ready. This personality-based quiz will tell you which power you would manifest in my fantasy world on the Island of Agemo were you one of the teen Experiments.

We have a very real goal of having that quiz up and running on my website by the end of the month, in time for release. And to get it off the ground, I’ll be giving away three special book boxes in return for people posting their results to social media. Take the quiz, post your results, tag me, and I’ll enter you in the drawing.

School “Visit”: In February, I had the opportunity to do my first author event at my high school alma mater in Michigan, about four hours away. I was going to be speaking about my career journey post-graduation and then have the chance to share about my books and do a signing. But when my oldest ended up in the hospital (don’t worry – he’s okay!), that trip was canceled. Fortunately, the school agreed to let me do a video presentation instead. So, aside from missing my book signing, I was still able to participate. And my husband used the extra paperback copies I bought for the event to run his own mini-giveaway at the school where he teaches.

So, win-win-win all things considered.

Thank you: Thank you so much to everyone who reached out after my last newsletter and let me know that you’d requested the books at your local store or library. That really really really meant a lot to me. I’m so blessed to have so many supportive people in my life who believe in me and these books to such a degree. I don’t know if I could ever express my gratitude adequately.

Till next time…

Katy
